Ken Whisenhunt was named the Arizona Cardinals Head Coach on January 14, 2007. He spent his last three seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers and helped the team to a victory in Super Bowl XL.
The Arizona Cardinals are the oldest existing professional American football club in the United States, which began as an amateur athletic club team in Chicago, named Morgan Athletic Club. The name then changed to the Racine Cardinals, but was disbanded in 1906 and didn’t reform until 1913. In 1922, the team was renamed again as the Chicago Cardinals. They received their first NFL Championship in 1925 and won their last NFL Championship game in 1947. In 1960, the team moved to St. Louis, but in 1988 moved to Arizona and became the Phoenix Cardinals. They started playing their games in Sun Devil Stadium in 1994 and thus became the Arizona Cardinals and did not post a winning season in 13 seasons.
