Missouri Tigers
The Missouri Tigers named Mike Anderson as the 16th head coach in March of 2006. Anderson came to the MU Tigers from UAB. He is coming off an overall record of 24-7 last season with the Blazers which was the second highest win total in school history and the most for the basketball program in 20 seasons. Anderson is an impressive coach with emphasis on the defensive end of the floor. Anderson's Tigers will excel on the court and win games because of how hard they play.

Anderson will show the Missouri program his brand of winning basketball games beginning this 2006-07 season. Anderson is the first African-American head coach in school annals. He was the most qualified coach for the position and has already developed great rapport with his team and the Tigers fans.

Jason Horton is going to try and lead MU to the Final Four and championship. He is returning to the backcourt as the most experienced Tiger after having started each of his first two seasons with Mizzou. He has a team leading 42 starts in two years and has logged an average of 30.7 minutes per game over his career as a Tiger. He is an experienced backcourt player with the knowledge and drive to lead this team to the postseason. Matt Lawrence is returning as well having impressed the Tigers with his efficient, talented play in taking big shots last season. Lawrence ranked fifth on the team with nine three pointers and shot a team leading 39.1 percent from beyond the arc.

Keon Lawrence is joining the Tigers team this season. He scored 843 points during his final campaign to lead his high school to a 24-3 record and an appearance in the playoffs. J.T. Tiller is also joining the team as a guard and earned All-State recognition as one of the finest athletes in Georgia last season. Marshall Brown is a returning junior. Last season he was the top returning scorer and rebounder for the Tigers team. He is a fan favorite because of his acrobatic dunks. Brown has Marcus Watkins joining him on the block. Watkins has great athleticism and a mind for basketball! Forward, Glen Dandridge improved during the second half of Big 12 play and saw his playing time increase as he improved. Sophomore Leo Lyons is hoping to catch head coach Mike Anderson's eye having played in 25 games as a rookie and averaged 2.6 points and 2.4 rebounds. Brown, Watkins, Dandridge, and Lyons give the Tigers great depth at forward, and Kalen Grimes gives the Tigers power underneath!
