Marquette Golden Eagles
Tom Crean is entering his eighth season as the head men's basketball coach. He has brought this program back to elite prominence and in his seven seasons he has averaged over 20 wins a year and won a conference championship and made six postseason appearances including the 2003 Final Four which was the program's third appearance all-time since 1977. Since 2001 he has led the Golden Eagles to 101 victories which is the fifth most among Big East schools, and five consecutive postseason appearances. Through these last seven seasons the Golden Eagles have earned 17 All-Conference selections and the program's first conference player of the year award. Last season Marquette was picked to finish 12th in the Big East preseason coaches poll, however Crean led the team to a fourth place finish in the conference, a first round bye in the Big East conference tournament, and their first trip to the NCAA Tournament since 2003. Their record was 20-11 which was the most wins since the 2002-03 season.

Dominic James, Jerel McNeal, and Wesley Matthews are going to lead this 2006-07 Golden Eagles team to the postseason. The team has great starters and amazing talent to come off the bench to support this team's race to the postseason.
